As you can see to the left, the state of Iowa and the Iowa Llama Association stay very busy with no less the 6 llama shows within our borders throughout the year. ILA members volunteer time and compete at all of these events as well as many others across the US. At the ILA, we work hard and we play just as hard.

Heartland Llama Show
April 30th - May 2nd, 2021
North Iowa Events Center, Mason City, Iowa
Superintendent: Heartland Llama Show Committee
Judges: Halter & Performance - Tricia Schneeberger, MI
Halter & Fiber - Mary Jo Miller, KY
Welcome back to another fun-filled show season! The Heartland Llama Committee is excited to bring back our annual show after last year's hiatus!
We are so thankful that our judges from 2020 were gracious enough to commit to our show again this year; Tricia Schneeberger and Mary Jo Miller. Additionally, we are appreciative that in a last minute request, we were able to secure our fiber judge's skills as a halter judge in order to offer a double halter show this year! One hotel fee, one road trip, grooming only once, but two judge's opinions!
We are offering some great things this year for our llama family at our annual show:
DOUBLE halter show
Saturday evening meal
Costume class with a $50 cash prize for 1st place
Shorn and walking fleece
Competitive performance classes
We are expecting lower than average show numbers this year for a variety of reasons, but that will by no means hamper our enthusiasm! Please keep in mind this may result in the need to combine classes based on the number of entrants. Additionally, we hope that many of you will consider sponsoring and advertising to help us continue to offer this fun event.
And lastly, we are requesting that you please photograph or scan your entry and either e-mail or text it to us prior to mailing to ensure we receive it. USPS has been extremely slow and we want to make sure we don't miss any entries. And as always, you are welcome to enter via showmanager.
Questions? Feel free to e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
